I think when you fall in love, that’s it. You’ve spent all this time completely caught up in something you didn’t understand and now you’re here. You’re in love, nothing else seems to matter. You can’t focus because all you can think about is why didn’t he reply to my snapchat, or why didn’t he answer my text. It becomes a cycle of sadness that starts because of something beautiful. When you’re in love, the feelings become a cushion for the pain that keeps being forced on you. You learn to live a lie because it’s comfortable. You rest your happiness and well being in the hands of someone who will inevitably break you. It becomes so painful that you begin to believe that this person is the only thing that can glue you back together, even though they’re the one who broke you in the first place. You don’t realize that he’s hurting you, because when he smiles, nothing else matters. Nothing hurts more than seeing his eyes light up, especially when you aren’t the cause. You tell yourself that he’ll come around, and you’ll tell yourself that he didn’t call because he was busy, when in reality you know that you weren’t his first priority. But you don’t care, because you love him. He doesn’t care, because he doesn’t love you.
